Prof. Avni Hajdari, PhD – Member of the Steering Board
Prof. Hajdari is a biologist and academic at the University of Prishtina. He completed his studies in Biology and Ecology in Prishtina and earned his Doctor of Natural Sciences (Biology) from the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna in 2011.
Since 2004, he has been engaged in teaching and research, becoming a professor in 2013. His work focuses on nature conservation, ethnobiology, and molecular taxonomy and ecology. He has led and participated in numerous national and international research projects, published scientific work, and held key leadership roles within the university.
Dr. Hajdari has also contributed to international scientific organizations, including the Society for Conservation Biology, and was named “Scientist of the Year” in 2014. Since October 2024, he has served as Vice-Rector for Scientific Research, Projects, and Innovation at the University of Prishtina.
